Since the spud-in of the pile foundation project of these two bridges dated January 17, 2010, 14 reverse circulation slewing drilling machines have been started in succession, including 6 machines for the highway bridge and 8 for the railway bridge. By the end of September, 360 large-diameter cast-in-situ bored piles had been completed, accounting for 47% of the total number of piles (766), and 45169 cubic meters of concrete had been cast in situ.

Located in the northeast of Kuwait, Bobby Yan Island is about 40 km long and 25-35 km wide. The planned Boddy Yan Seaport is located in the east of this island. The first phase of the project is to build a highway and railway connecting the seaport and mainland Kuwait. These two bridges span the Straits. The highway bridge is 1.42km long, and the railway viaduct is 4.25 km long. The substructure is an upright pier with a bent cap, and a foundation of bored pile. 766 bored cast-in-situ piles with a diameter of φ1.5m~φ2.5m have been designed, with the volume of cast-in-situ concrete reaching 130 thousand cubic meters.
